  • Project number:
    2025‑1‑PL01‑KA220‑VET‑000350825
  • Program: Erasmus+
  • Period: 2025-2027
  • Coordinator: Poland

The Bridging Gaps project aims to bridge the skills gaps emerging in the labour market while addressing sustainability challenges and the rapid development of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). The project focuses on supporting European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly in managing the green and digital transition.

The project is based on the recognition that businesses increasingly require employees who can adapt to the principles of the circular economy, second-hand consumption models, and the evolving tools of the digital society. Bridging Gaps seeks to equip learners and organisations with the competencies and learning opportunities needed to promote sustainable business practices while improving employees’ employability, resilience, and adaptability.

The project focuses on:

  • Reducing skills gaps in vocational education and training (VET) and the labour market.
  • Integrating digital technologies, particularly AI-based VET solutions, into education and training processes.
  • Strengthening cooperation between organisations and stakeholders.
  • Supporting sustainable and circular business models.
  • Promoting second-hand consumption and the development of green skills.

The core mission of Bridging Gaps is to advance the twin transition by combining the digital and green transformation. The project develops a competency framework and practical tools that enable businesses to become more sustainable while keeping pace with the rapid evolution of digital technologies.

The project’s main results include:

  • Competence Framework for the development of green and digital skills (already completed according to the project website).
  • Innovative learning materials and methodological resources.
  • Strong partnership cooperation and knowledge exchange activities.
  • Communication and dissemination initiatives to maximise the project’s impact.

In the long term, the Bridging Gaps project aims to contribute to the development of a European labour market that is sustainable, digitally prepared, and resilient. By supporting SMEs in acquiring the skills and tools required for the future, the project helps businesses successfully adapt to the challenges of an increasingly green and digital economy.
