TENSILE – NaTural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Other Computational Tools to Realize New Forms and Interfaces for Written Language and Arts

The TENSILE Erasmus+ project aimed to connect artificial intelligence, literature, and creative learning methods in secondary education through an innovative STEAM-based approach. The project supports cross-curricular cooperation and the development of competence-based education through new learning models.
The project is implemented between 1 September 2023 and 28 February 2026 under Portuguese coordination and within an international partnership. The consortium brings together organisations from Greece, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania, and Hungary, including Trebag Ltd.
At the heart of the project is the development of a digital laboratory and a new educational methodology that make the basic concepts of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and algorithmic thinking understandable for students through literature and the arts.
Throughout the project, digital tools, teacher guidelines, and practical learning scenarios are developed and tested in European schools. In the long term, these developments contribute to strengthening creative thinking, digital skills, and interdisciplinary learning.
