The Professional Aid for Young Workers Facing Diverse Challenges at Work (PROUD) Erasmus+ project aimed to support young employees in addressing workplace challenges, with a particular focus on mental well-being, self-awareness, and professional skills development. The project was built on the recognition that members of Generation Y and Generation Z increasingly face high levels of stress, burnout, social expectations, and the challenges arising from rapidly changing working environments.

The project was implemented between 1 December 2022 and 30 November 2024 under Hungarian coordination, led by Trebag Ltd., within an international partnership. The consortium brought together organisations from Cyprus, Portugal, Slovakia, Greece, and Hungary.

At the heart of the project was the development of an innovative mentoring programme designed to provide both professional guidance and mental health support for young employees. The project focused on two complementary areas: a practical guide for workplace skills development and career support, and a set of tools dedicated to promoting mental well-being in the workplace.

As a result of the project, the partnership developed a comprehensive Digital Guide, a Workplace Mental Well-being Map, and the Mind-Balance Kit, all of which include practical exercises, self-reflection activities, and examples of good practice. In the long term, these resources contribute to improving young employees’ job satisfaction, reducing staff turnover, and fostering more inclusive, supportive, and mentally healthy workplace cultures.
