Certified Training for Silver Caregivers
The Certified Training for Silver Caregivers Erasmus+ project aimed to address the challenges of Europe’s ageing population by modernising the training of care professionals and strengthening the competences required to support older adults. The project responded to the growing demand for well-qualified professionals capable of delivering high-quality elderly care while promoting active and healthy ageing.
The project was implemented between 1 September 2020 and 30 November 2022 under Spanish coordination within an international partnership. The consortium brought together organisations from Portugal, Greece, France, Ireland, and Hungary, including Trebag Ltd.
During the project, the partnership developed an innovative training methodology and curriculum designed to strengthen competences related to active and healthy ageing. The training programme consists of eight learning modules, covering topics such as the characteristics of ageing, communication skills, digital technologies in care, and healthy lifestyle approaches for older adults.
As one of its key outcomes, the project created a multilingual open-access e-learning platform featuring case studies, self-assessment tools, and comprehensive learning materials. These resources support both self-directed learning and professional training for current and future caregivers.
