Integrated Plant Protection as an Answer for Climate Change
The Integrated Plant Protection as an Answer for Climate Change Erasmus+ project aimed to address the agricultural challenges posed by climate change by developing modern, sustainable plant protection solutions and innovative training materials. The project focused on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the digital transfer of knowledge to support more sustainable agricultural practices.
The project was implemented between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2023 under Czech coordination within an international partnership. The consortium brought together organisations from Romania, Greece, Poland, Bulgaria, and Hungary, including Trebag Ltd., working together to develop and disseminate up-to-date agricultural knowledge.
The project began with comprehensive research to identify the needs of the target groups and existing knowledge gaps related to plant protection. Based on these findings, the partnership developed modern training materials focusing on the identification of invasive pests, preventive measures, and environmentally friendly plant protection methods. The learning resources are also available in digital format and are complemented by instructional videos, infographics, and practical guidance materials.
As part of the project, a multilingual online learning platform was created to support both learning and knowledge exchange between agricultural experts and farmers. The project’s outcomes contribute to the modernisation of plant protection practices, the reduction of pesticide use, and the wider adoption of sustainable agricultural approaches across Europe.
