Once Upon a Mind

The Once Upon a Mind Erasmus+ project aimed to promote young people’s mental health by providing innovative tools for prevention, awareness raising, and early intervention. The project responded to the challenges emerging in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, when issues such as anxiety, uncertainty, low self-confidence, and reduced mental well-being became increasingly common among young people.
The project was implemented between 1 January 2022 and 30 September 2024 under Icelandic coordination within an international partnership. The consortium brought together organisations from Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, and Hungary, including Trebag Ltd.
During the project, a comprehensive toolkit was developed, including information and activity booklets, animated educational videos, and an interactive board game. These resources were designed to equip professionals working with young people—including teachers, youth workers, and trainers—with practical methods for supporting mental health and emotional well-being.
The project results were tested and disseminated through international training activities and multiplier events. In the long term, the resources developed contribute to improving young people’s mental well-being while promoting preventive, awareness-based approaches to mental health support across Europe.
