Disruptive Change Agents: The New Breed of Leaders in Europe (Breed2Lead)

The project was implemented between 1 September 2017 and 30 November 2019 under Cypriot coordination, involving partners from nine European countries. The consortium included organisations from Cyprus, Spain, Greece, the United Kingdom, Romania, Austria, and Hungary, including Trebag Ltd.
At the heart of the project was the development of a new leadership competence framework and educational methodology designed to help teachers identify and foster leadership potential among young learners. The framework was informed by research, interviews, and focus groups that explored the knowledge, skills, and personal characteristics defining the future generation of disruptive change leaders.
The project produced a comprehensive pedagogical methodology together with a range of training materials and practical tools to support teachers in developing talented students. Beyond strengthening leadership competences, the project sought to create more inclusive, innovative, and learner-centred educational environments that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and active participation.
In the long term, Breed2Lead contributes to preparing young people for future leadership roles while supporting the development of Europe’s human capital through innovative educational practices and talent development.
