    Erasmus+
  • Period: 2019-2022

The Work-based Management Training Kit for the Transition to Industry 4.0 Erasmus+ project aimed to support companies and their managers in preparing for the challenges of industrial digitalisation and the transition to Industry 4.0. The project was based on the recognition that technological progress involves not only the introduction of new tools and systems but also profound changes in workplace processes, management practices, and the competencies required in the modern labour market.

The project was implemented between 1 November 2019 and 31 August 2022 under Hungarian coordination, led by Trebag Ltd., within an international partnership. The consortium brought together organisations from Slovenia, Greece, Bulgaria, Ireland, and Portugal, alongside business and technology partners.

At the heart of the project was the development of a comprehensive work-based training package designed primarily for middle managers and professionals with technical backgrounds. The training focused on strengthening key transversal competencies, including change management, innovative thinking, motivation, collaboration, leadership, and organisational adaptability.

As a result of the project, the partnership developed a Competence Catalogue and Competence Matrix, together with a comprehensive training package consisting of a methodological guide, training materials, and an online learning platform. Pilot training activities were successfully implemented across the partner countries. The digital platform offers multiple learning pathways and interactive features, supporting flexible, practice-oriented, and learner-centred training.

In the long term, the project contributes to strengthening the adaptability and competitiveness of businesses by helping managers and employees successfully respond to the technological, organisational, and workforce challenges of the Industry 4.0 era.
