EMERGE Youth Article on Young People’s Mental Health Now Available

The 4th EMERGE Youth article explores the mental health challenges facing young people and NEET youth across Europe while presenting the project’s innovative educational resources and digital tools that help strengthen resilience and stress management skills.

The 4th EMERGE Youth article has been published, focusing on the mental health of young people in Europe, with particular attention to NEET youth (young people who are not in employment, education, or training) and the growing importance of stress management.

The article explores the increasing mental health challenges faced by young people across Europe, including economic uncertainty, social isolation, performance pressure, climate anxiety, and uncertain career prospects. These factors contribute to higher levels of stress and anxiety, particularly among the most vulnerable groups of young people.

The publication also presents the innovative solutions developed by the EMERGE Youth project to support young people’s mental well-being. These include the Stress Management EduPack and the EMERGE Web App, which offers interactive activities, breathing exercises, reflective journaling, real-life entrepreneurial case studies, and practical stress management techniques. Designed to be accessible and stigma-free, the platform provides valuable support for young people who may be reluctant or unable to access traditional mental health services.

The article highlights that developing stress management skills is essential not only for protecting mental health but also for strengthening resilience, promoting social inclusion, and supporting young people’s future educational, professional, and entrepreneurial success.
